Duotone Kiteboarding Ishttps://www.kitezone.com/forums/sue - Click Bar 2019

Recommended Posts

The 2019 Duotone Click Bar is the future of control. It represents the innovations of the past and sets the stage for our future developments. Once you've tried it, you won’t want to use anything else!

The Click Bar stands strong as the only bar on the market that trims via the back line, not the front. Less is more with the Trim Unit, with effortless depower at the flick of a switch.

Our innovative technology allows you to comfortably trim your kite as you ride and in situations you never thought possible. It won’t impact speed, your body position, your line or upwind status. Why not give it a click through a bottom turn? It’s that easy. Your ride, your way.

For 2019 a small Click Bar, the Click Bar S with 42cm width and with 20/22m lines, joins the Standard Click Bar M, catering to personal preference and performance gains across all styles of riding.

More than just a mechanism.

The 2019 Duotone Click Bar S and M have a smart finish and performance features that take care of the smaller details.

  • One depower line.
  • Clean finish.
  • Flawless power on/power off Trim Unit.
  • Power Display makes life easy.
  • Automatic Untwisting feature.

  • The Click Bar S and M can be equipped with an optional 5th line upgrade kit.
  • Hardcore freestylers can add the Hadlow Set Up upgrade kit to the Click Bar S.
  • Choose from our 4 available Chicken Loop options.
  • Removable line extensions for adjustable line length.
  • Compatible with all Duotone kites and most other kites on the market.

Celebrating its third year under the new flag of Duotone, we thought it was a good time to look back on the history of the Click Bar and speak with designer Aurelien “Lou” Mierswa, who has been leading the process since the Click Bar concept landed on his desk back in 2016.

Read what Aaron Hadlow (freestyle/big air) Tom Court (freeride/foil) and Matchu Lopes (wave/strapless freestyle) have to say about the new 2019 Duotone Click Bar and how it stands up to their demands.

As far as design and performance goes, the Click Bar is unrivalled. Every ergonomic and practical use has been considered and its adjustability, fuss-free usage and clean interface are just a few of the many incredible features. Everything is modular and replaceable so it’s a bar for life, rather than just another bit of kit.

Watch the 2020 VEGAS in action whilst we talk you through every update, performance feature and overall design that creates the ultimate C-Kite.

“It´s the kite I´ve been riding since 2013 and I can´t think of any better kite for me to go big and stick clean, smooth landings.”
      Gianmaria Coccoluto
Designed for purpose, driven by performance, the 2020 VEGAS has been sharpened up through almost invisible tweaks. That in combination with the use of new materials, a huge innovation by Duotone Kiteboarding in partnership with Teijin, the VEGAS looks as always, but its crisp feel is inspiring and exciting. Those who know or want what the VEGAS delivers can truly trust the precision and vision of designer Ralf Grösel. Keeping our women freestyle team covering all spots of the podium and industry legend, Aaron Hadlow, on the water and motivated every day is a true testament to the VEGAS. Time to unleash the beast.

When developing such a highly tuned performance kite, changing anything affects the others and therefore its nature and in-flight characteristics. The new Trailing Edge wave patterns and 75 gram RipStop materials would have a really positive impact on the VEGAS, but we had to tweak and test the other design features to rebalance and achieve optimum equilibrium.

As the most specific competition kite the freestyle/wakestyle riders, Aaron Hadlow himself handles the performance testing of the VEGAS. The original C-Kite and King of the Air again sets the tone for the future.
