Ozone Chrono V3 EXP - For Expert & Expedition Kiters!

Recommended Posts

The Chrono V3 EXP has been developed for Expert and Expedition Snowkiters as the ultimate high-level open cell foil kite.

It is the same design as the Chrono V3 Ultralight with a partially open cell leading edge and features our revolutionary Internal Re-ride Release System.

The clock is ticking for the 2019 Vake snowkiting competition, this year the dates are set for the 2nd to 6th of April.
Renowned for being one of the world's most gruelling and hardcore races, it takes place in the spectacularly vast white plains of Norway's north-easternmost tip, Varanger – known as "the Hawaii of snow kiting".

The elite team event attracts athletes from across the globe wanting to push their limits and test their endurance levels. The new Chrono V3 EXP is the perfect aid for this type of race, offering outstanding performance and catering for the varied conditions the kiters come face to face with.

The official release date for the Chrono V3 EXP is the 20th March, however due to the high demand of this kite for the Vake race we will be making a special pre order for all participants to make sure your kites arrive in time for the competition. (Contact your local dealer to place your order. Deadline is Friday 1st March)

It will come as no surprise that Ozone's team rider Jonas Lengwiler (CH) winner of 2017 Vake and Ragnarok has been involved with the testing and will choose the Chrono V3 EXP for the 2019 event. Find out more: Varanger Arctic Kite Enduro (VAKE).

The ability to safely self-land a kite in extreme conditions on the snow is a crucial feature when adventuring remote areas, high mountains or long distance expeditions/races.

Featuring the best material combination to be as light as possible yet durable with bridle lines that are easy to sort and handle even in freezing temperatures.

The EXP can withstand extreme strong conditions also when pulling heavily loaded sleds.

We designed a new lightweight control system specifically for the Chrono V3 EXP - it is a must-have addition.

Based on the Contact Snow V4 control system featuring our latest innovation the Click-in-loop, combined with a double low friction ring trim system similar to our Race V4 control system. Trimming the kite as you ride is made easy and comfortable and the 6mm trim line is easy to grip even when wearing polar gloves.

The Snow EXP V4 Control System can be set up in two modes:

5-Line Mode: For Ozone Snowkites using the Internal Re-Ride Release System
4-Line Mode: For Ozone 4-Line kites using the Front Line Flag Out Release

      OUT NOW!
The Hyperlink V2 bridges the gap between inflatable and foil kites. It's as dynamic and engaging to ride as an inflatable and combines the high performance characteristics of a foil.

The Hyperlink V2 is the perfect option for anyone taking the leap from inflatable to foil kites.
It has a rapid inflation thanks to the new valve design and positioning combined with a new internal structure.
The new drainage valves at both wing tips seal to keep air in, and open up when water needs to drain out.

With unparalleled stability, lighter weight, improved handling and bar feeling the V2 design takes it to the next level.
It excels on water, snow and land. Our innovative valve design makes it quick and easy to set up as a Closed Cell or Open Cell kite.

The Hyperlink V2 features an all-new material combination; it's durable, airtight and extremely lightweight.
The new material has a unique formulated coating to help shed water, improving flying characteristics and water re-launch.

The ability to safely self-land a kite on the snow or land is a crucial feature.
We have completely re-designed the internal structure to incorporate our industry leading Internal Re-Ride Release System.
This allows the kite to de-power instantly without tangling, and falls to the ground to re-launch when ready.
A clean and simple design with an easy to use trim system.

An all-new push-away quick release with an intuitive one-step Click-In reload function.

Free ride, hydrofoil, boost and float, air style or unhooked, backcountry snow missions, you name it and it delivers!

-Led by passion and driven by fun-
In my opinion, the kite bar, is often the most overlooked piece of equipment in your quiver.  People don't really talk about how good their bar is.  Most of the chatter on the beach is about hydrofoils, kites, or conditions.  Hell, most kiteboarders I interact with don't know all of the performance features on their bar, let alone how to tune their bar.  Think about it, you don't actually ever touch your kite while your kiteboarding.  The bar is your conduit to the kite, it's what you touch and interact with. It also, contains all your safety systems and gives you complete control over the power of the wind.  Thanks to modern material sciences, we have these amazing high strength flying lines, so thin, light, and aerodynamic, yet still able to support 400 kg, each!  Pretty impressive stuff, for something no one talks about.  We, at LFK, put a lot of thought into our new control system, the MC V3.  We wanted to make something that would address all the safety concerns of modern kiteboarding.  Something that offered adjustability, and clean usability.  A bar that was simple, intuitive, and reliable.  Below you can find out more about the bar from me in an in depth bar walkthrough, so dive on in!
      -Brandon Scheid
Want to learn more about the amazing LFK line? Take a look around our website.
Want to know more about the MC V3.  Take an in depth tour of all the new features with LFK Product Development team member Brandon Scheid.
There is nothing like having clean, simple, and easy to use gear.  We really wanted to upgrade some essential parts of the MC bar.  While, at the same time keeping the simplicity and safety that has become synonymous with the MC system.  We didn't just make it red, although that does make it adhere with our industry standards for safety.  We added a new mainline tube material, lubrizol, in a slightly smaller diameter.  This slippery material, combined with the narrower diameter mainline tube eliminates bar sticking when sheeting in and out and turning at the same time.  We also added user adjustability with the addition of our High-Y adjuster.  Now you can change the turning arc of the kite and the bar feel, customizing the kite to your specific needs.  Everything you need, and nothing more.  MC V3

There is no substitute for the highest performing gear. Who wouldn't want kite that will never hold you back? One that helps climb to the top of the podium.  Slight refinements in material, arc, and shape gave the DNA of the Hi Fi new life. We went through and optimized each size, to give the whole range the same feel and performance. Not only is the new HiFi X3 easier to relaunch, and more solid in the air.  It is also built with extremely durable and high quality canopy and dacron materials.  This makes the kite extremely reliable for those riders planning on progressing their riding, and crashing their gear a lot.  Thanks to the .08mm PU bladders, the new HiFi also lost some weight, making it perform better in low wind settings.

Looking for the highest performance freestyle kite, look no further than the all new HiFi X3.

Water safety is something often overlooked by the everyday kitesurfer.  Whether you have a gear malfunction, conditions crap out, or something just plain goes wrong.  That's why at LFK, we worked in conjunction with Onyx lifejackets to develop a compact and reliable U.S Coast Guard approved life vest for kiteboarding.

The On-Demand 24 Inflatable Life Jacket, offers the highest level of floatation and safety while still remaining small and out of the way.  In an emergency a simple downward pull of the tab, initiates a CO2 cartridge inflation of the vest.  Once safely on land, the vest can be repacked and re loaded with a new cartridge for another use.

The On-Demand 16 Inflatable Belt, offers water safety in a smaller, more compact, and less intrusive package.  Like the 24 Vest, the 16 Belt inflates quickly with a downward pull of the ignition tab.  This belt is ideal for someone who values water safety, but wants something a little more out of the way.  The 16 Belt is still U.S Coast Guard approved, however it does offer less floatation than the 24 Vest.
