  1. -Led by passion and driven by fun- In my opinion, the kite bar, is often the most overlooked piece of equipment in your quiver. People don't really talk about how good their bar is. Most of the chatter on the beach is about hydrofoils, kites, or conditions. Hell, most kiteboarders I interact with don't know all of the performance features on their bar, let alone how to tune their bar. Think about it, you don't actually ever touch your kite while your kiteboarding. The bar is your conduit to the kite, it's what you touch and interact with. It also, contains all your safety systems and gives you complete control over the power of the wind. Thanks to modern material sciences, we have these amazing high strength flying lines, so thin, light, and aerodynamic, yet still able to support 400 kg, each! Pretty impressive stuff, for something no one talks about. We, at LFK, put a lot of thought into our new control system, the MC V3. We wanted to make something that would address all the safety concerns of modern kiteboarding. Something that offered adjustability, and clean usability. A bar that was simple, intuitive, and reliable. Below you can find out more about the bar from me in an in depth bar walkthrough, so dive on in! -Brandon Scheid Want to learn more about the amazing LFK line? Take a look around our website. *** Want to know more about the MC V3. Take an in depth tour of all the new features with LFK Product Development team member Brandon Scheid. There is nothing like having clean, simple, and easy to use gear. We really wanted to upgrade some essential parts of the MC bar. While, at the same time keeping the simplicity and safety that has become synonymous with the MC system. We didn't just make it red, although that does make it adhere with our industry standards for safety. We added a new mainline tube material, lubrizol, in a slightly smaller diameter. This slippery material, combined with the narrower diameter mainline tube eliminates bar sticking when sheeting in and out and turning at the same time. We also added user adjustability with the addition of our High-Y adjuster. Now you can change the turning arc of the kite and the bar feel, customizing the kite to your specific needs. Everything you need, and nothing more. MC V3 There is no substitute for the highest performing gear. Who wouldn't want kite that will never hold you back? One that helps climb to the top of the podium. Slight refinements in material, arc, and shape gave the DNA of the Hi Fi new life. We went through and optimized each size, to give the whole range the same feel and performance. Not only is the new HiFi X3 easier to relaunch, and more solid in the air. It is also built with extremely durable and high quality canopy and dacron materials. This makes the kite extremely reliable for those riders planning on progressing their riding, and crashing their gear a lot. Thanks to the .08mm PU bladders, the new HiFi also lost some weight, making it perform better in low wind settings. Looking for the highest performance freestyle kite, look no further than the all new HiFi X3. *** *** Water safety is something often overlooked by the everyday kitesurfer. Whether you have a gear malfunction, conditions crap out, or something just plain goes wrong. That's why at LFK, we worked in conjunction with Onyx lifejackets to develop a compact and reliable U.S Coast Guard approved life vest for kiteboarding. *** The On-Demand 24 Inflatable Life Jacket, offers the highest level of floatation and safety while still remaining small and out of the way. In an emergency a simple downward pull of the tab, initiates a CO2 cartridge inflation of the vest. Once safely on land, the vest can be repacked and re loaded with a new cartridge for another use. The On-Demand 16 Inflatable Belt, offers water safety in a smaller, more compact, and less intrusive package. Like the 24 Vest, the 16 Belt inflates quickly with a downward pull of the ignition tab. This belt is ideal for someone who values water safety, but wants something a little more out of the way. The 16 Belt is still U.S Coast Guard approved, however it does offer less floatation than the 24 Vest.

  6. Dear Valued Customer, The Cabrinha brand has always placed our product quality and the safety of our customers upfront in all our product development efforts. We have recently identified a design defect in a component of the 2017 Power Bracket Seat. The control systems affected by this issue are: Model Name: Overdrive 1X Recoil (Fireball or Quickloop versions), Overdrive 1X TrimLite (Fireball or Quickloop versions), 1X TrimLite (Fireball or Quickloop versions) and Chaos 1X TrimLite control systems. Product Codes: KS7CSCHFX000STD, KS7CSFXFC000044, KS7CSFXFC000052, KS7CSFXFC000060, KS7CSFXQC000052, KS7CSFXQC000044, KS7CSFXQC000060, KS7CSODFC000STD, KS7CSODFR000STD, KS7CSODQC000STD, KS7CSODQR000STD The component in topic is the stainless steel POWER BRACKET SEAT (PBS) and the lower front line that connects with the landing line. The point of connection between the lower front line and the landing line can break causing a loss of kite control posing a risk of injury. In the event of a broken line at this connection point, the 1X security systems will be rendered invalid. Activating the main quick release also known as QR1 under these circumstances will release the kite completely from the rider. There is a limited number of 2017 control systems affected by this issue which can be identified by the description below. We have decided to issue a product recall to ensure the safety and confidence of our customers. We will ask that all end user customers with an affected control system, bring their control systems to the point of purchase to have a free replacement part installed which will immediately remedy the issue. The part was designed from the outset to be serviceable: the replacement is simple to install and will only take a few minutes. Identifying A Control System Which Is Subject To This Recall We have changed the defective parts in all manufactured control systems as of March 13, 2017. You can distinguish the modified and corrected control systems by a GREEN DOT on the packaging hangtag of the control system. Any 2017 control system without a green dot on the hang tag will need the replacement Power Bracket Seat Kit installed. Further, the corrected Power Bracket Seat can be identified by its plastic material and light gray color. (the defective Power bracket Seat was made with stainless steel). In the effort to provide our customers with the highest level of safety and product service, we kindly ask that you bring any affected control system (as identified above) to your Cabrinha dealer for a free authorized replacement kit. The replacement process takes approximately 4 minutes. We kindly thank you in advance for your required assistance to ensure that 100% of all control systems receive the replacement Power Bracket Seat. We appreciate your help in this matter and we are sure that you share in our commitment to providing the highest level of security and safety for our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your support in helping us to deliver on our promise of quality and customer care. This product recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. More information can be found at www.cabrinhakites.com, www.cpsc.gov. or by emailing [email protected] or calling +1 808 8930286 PROCESS OF REPLACEMENT/INSTALLMENT: We have taken steps to make the process as easy as possible: 1. Identify whether your 2017 control system is affected by this recall. All products made after March 13, 2017 have the proper modifications made, you can distinguish this by a GREEN DOT on the packaging hangtag of the control system and/or a light gray plastic Power Bracket Seat installed on the control system. 2. Bring your control system back to your authorized Cabrinha dealer to receive a free Power Bracket Seat Kit which is supplied by Cabrinha. Alternatively you can contact Cabrinha through the contact points listed above to inquire how to receive a free Power Bracket Seat replacement kit. 3. A video of the Power Bracket Seat Kit installation instructions can be found below. 4. Download Power Bracket Seat installation instructions here. 5. Please return your metal PBS to your dealer once you have reworked your Control System. We kindly ask that you take action on the above points immediately as it is a requirement of the CPSC protocol. Any questions, please let us know. Once again, please accept our sincerest apologies for ANY inconvenience this may have caused.
