  1. Duotone Dice Adaptive Tip Explained

  2. The 2019 JUICE represents state of the art design, very light specifically sourced material, and optimized light wind performance. It’s very balanced, user friendly and especially made for lightwind kiteboarding on Twintips, Directionals and Foil boards, to maximize the time on the water. This season the Duotone JUICE is a completely new light wind concept. From now on, any Foiler or Freerider will only need one size of the JUICE in their quiver. With each size working in almost the same wind range, the only deciding factor comes down to which kind of rider and on what kind of board. Introducing the ultimate low-wind, inflatable kite for riders who value performance and handling in the lightest of breezes. No wind, no worries. A lighter, stiffer Dacron Frame and inflatable sections, combined with a thinner, lighter PU bladder foil creates a clean and stiff canopy for a responsive ride. By reducing the overall weight of the Leading Edge, the general load is shifted back to the Framing Edge resulting in better balance. The Fusion Strut construction allows for a controlled distribution of forces between the Strut and Leading edge. Struts are 100% connected to the Leading Edge with a flexible Dyneema line, which promotes higher canopy tension and a clean profile. “In order to create the ultimate light wind construction for light wind conditions you have to look at the materials you’re using. I spent quite a lot of time sourcing the best materials possible and a full season testing them. We needed to ensure the combination of lightness, durability, premium quality and long lifespan. Having achieved a lighter weight, the handling and response became better automatically. Then we fine tuned.” Ralf Grösel. Read More RIDER REVIEW Artem Garashchenko is all about shredding the powder in the mountains and styling it out on the water. His winning formula? The JUICE. “ To be honest, I ride the JUICE 50% of my sessions in Russia both in the snow and on the water. When I give my JUICE to others, they are always surprised at how fast it is and quick to react as the sizes are quite big. It’s so versatile for all light wind activities such as Foiling, Twintip Freestyle, Wakestyle and my favorite, Park Riding.” Read More IN A NUTSHELL The JUICE’s brand new, super light weight construction means the whole range of Juices is 15% lighter than previous seasons. The JUICE is specifically designed for those magic light wind sessions. Equipped with excellent upwind performance and old school jumping abilities, the range of sizes opens up a new playground for Twintip and Foil riders alike. No quiver should be without a JUICE.

  5. Introducing the 2019 Duotone MONO; light, simple and devastatingly good. Reinvented from scratch by kite designer Ken Winner, it's a fantastic one-strut all-rounder with incredible handling for entry level, foiling and twintip riding. The increasing popularity of foiling caused us to fundamentally reevaluate the MONO for 2019, with all sizes undergoing a redesign and the outcome is genius. Now the benchmark in one-strut design, the MONO’s dynamic handling is sure to excite. In light winds the performance is incredible and it comes with auto relaunch. If you want a pure, lightweight do-it-all kite, the MONO is it. For 2019, the MONO has a radically lower aspect ratio and wider tips than in the past. Therefore the arc of the Leading Edge is flatter giving a higher projected area for every size. The expected benefits are super easy water relaunch, quick, easy turning and great ability to drift and hang in the air. In addition, the MONO; Sits far back in the wind window Backstall is nearly impossible Super easy, fast auto relaunch Light bar pressure and progressive power development Light and robust one-strut design Slip profile with low aspect ratio and less flutter 4 and 5-Line setup DESIGNER INTERVIEW Ken Winner took the MONO back to the drawing board and his 2019 design is a benchmark model. “The biggest challenge these days lies in making a kite both durable and light. Low weight, easy turn initiation, easy turn completion, easy relaunch in light wind, the ability to hang underpowered in the air and a forgiving bar feel are the qualities that we find most important for foilers. Most of those qualities are also important for surf riders and entry level riders, so the MONO still works for them.” Read More RIDER REVIEW As one of Duotone's most well-rounded riders, Jeremie Tronet takes the 2019 MONO for a whirl in his tropical home spot and shares his, short but sweet, thoughts. "I have primarily used the MONO for my foiling sessions. The recent improvements on the kite are making the MONO the perfect light wind kite for foiling with good hangtime and lift in the jumps, also performing nicely in the waves." Read More IN A NUTSHELL The MONO suits foilers perfectly. It’s also a good entry level kite as well as a fun and responsive surf kite, particularly for lighter weight riders. The lower aspect ratio, quicker relaunch, lower weight, quicker turning, less flutter, softer and more forgiving bar feel make it perfect travel mate and champion companion for those doing it all.
